Dr. Swantje Liedmann
is a trained virologist and immunologist appointed as W1/W2 tenure track professor in immune epigenetics at the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn.
Dr. Liedmann is awardee of the NRW Rückkehrprogramm 2022 .
Her major scientific advancements have included the development of a pharmacological protocol that promote memory function of CD8 T cells, the discovery of novel virulence marker in the influenza A virus genome and interferon antagonistic properties of two influenza A virus polymerase subunits, as well as the development of a high-resolution light microscopy approach to visualize helical influenza genome segments.
